It is an excellent introduction to the subject, giving the reader an overall view which, for some will be all that is required and for others is an essentialbasis for the more detailed study of particular aspects of the law. The book does not over-simplify the law, but explores areas of doubt and difficulty and offers reasoned criticism of controversial decisions. The major change in this edition is the incorporation of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 which makes important changes to a central aspect of the law of contract.
