給讀者的話



聽、說、讀、寫這四種英文能力當中，就屬寫作最為複雜。想要寫出一些句子並不困難，任何上過英文課的學生皆可辦到。但是，若是想寫出一篇好的作文，這其中卻存在著很大的困難。

增進寫作技巧的方法很多，但一般認為，透過大量閱讀精采的好文章才能達到最好的效果。其實說穿了，寫作就是一段「模仿」的過程，藉由吸收別人文章的精華，長時間累積下來，自然而然就能透過自己的筆桿，寫出語意流暢且結構嚴謹的好文章。俗話說，「熟讀唐詩三百首，不會作詩也會吟」，就是這個道理。
