This set includes a fascinating range of subjects relating to the areas of individual psychology, personality and character. Alfred Adler and his school of individual psychology continue to be influential today and two of his works are included, The Practice and Theory of Individual Psychology (1924) and The Neurotic Constitution (1921) as well as several works by other scholars on Adler"s ideas. The set also includes some works on personality and intelligence published between 1926 and 1953, which demonstrate how theories about ways of measuring personality evolved during those years. An unusual feature of this set are titles covering the areas of eugenics and handreading. These subjetcs have long since been discarded from modern psychology but are of interest in terms of showing how ideas and theories about what is and what is not appropriate to include within the discipline have moved on since the early years of this century.
